Amy Kang

Ms Amy Kang is an AMEB RS Examiner and a highly experienced music educator with over 15 years of piano teaching. She holds a Bachelor of Music (Honours) and a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) from UNSW under the STGA Scholarship, and was awarded a full scholarship to complete her Master of Music (Performance) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Amy also maintains an active performance profile, presenting solo recitals, chamber music, Candlelight Concerts and symphonic concerts at venues across Sydney. 

Alongside her performing career, Amy is deeply committed to music education. She has taught at several high schools and served as a piano tutor at Chatswood High School. She has adjudicated international eisteddfods and delivered masterclasses abroad.

Amy is recognised for her holistic teaching approach, integrating technical development, musicianship, and performance confidence to nurture well-rounded artists. Her students consistently achieve outstanding results in AMEB examinations, HSC Music and eisteddfods, with several progressing as professional musical careers.

With extensive experience as performer, music educator, and examiner, Amy brings a balanced and forward-thinking perspective to music education. She understands the evolving landscape of pedagogy, assessment, and student wellbeing, and is committed to ensuring responsive to contemporary teaching practices.
